What is an AURA?
In the temporary use of language there is the word "Aura", but the meaning can be quite different. For many people, the Aura is only the radiance of human beings. For scientists, it is a concrete, existing energy field that surround living creatures. The Aura is formed by subtle colour radiances which surround the body of a human being. These radiances can be perceived by a psychic. Each colour signifies a certain vibration which has different meanings.
The Aura, which is connected with the activity of the chakra (Sanskrit for "energy wheel"), reflects the individual state of consciousness. In that case, the colours of the Aura give us information about the quality of consciousness, as well as one's emotions, thoughts, abilities and the vital energies of a person.
The history of Auras goes far back into the past. Natural Tribes, the Christian Mystics of the Middle Ages, painters, and artists of all ages have shown the Aura in a radiant, shining ray of lights around human being, animal or plant. This information, which can be perceived by sensitive and psychic people, has been researched and proved scientifically in the last decades. Modern scientists measure the Aura as a electromagnetic field around living creatures.
The first Aura photo was made by the genius scientist Nicola Tesla in 1891. The Soviet Union did research in several tests in the 1960's. From 1975, the Aura was measured and photographed in universities with great precision worldwide.
In the 1970's and early 1980's, there were some "garage" companies in the area which is now known as Silicon Valley; Apple Computers is the most famous of them. While others were involved with information technology and were developing products for the age of space crafts which we know well today, one man looked into a different direction.
Frequently asked questions;
Is this the same as Kirlian photography?
No. Kirlian photography is a much simpler print process which actually sends a charge to the plate. One may actually feel a gentle current of electricity. Our cameras are similar to Kirlian photography in that they're both classified as electrophotographic. The major differences though is that our equipment sends no charge to subject being photographed. Our units are biofeedback devices, which measure your personal qualities through contact.
Who decided what the colours mean?
Guy Coggins, the inventor of biofeedback Aura Imaging, based his colour interpretations on different electrical measurements. Each colour has its corresponding electrical frequency which can be measured. Coggins also was inspired by the extensive research and writing by Dr. Max Luscher who has done the most scientific studies on color preference and personality. He was most famous for his best selling book The Luscher Colour Test, and was a contemporary of Sigmund Freud and was very popular during the late 1960's.

Aura Photographs
Auras contain many different colours, change colours constantly, and each shade affects the aura colors meaning.

Your mood, what you’re doing and what you’re experiencing in life all determine the colours of your aura at any given time.
In New Age pop culture, there is a common misconception that aura colors meaning is straightforward.
Examples are:
- red = passion,
- yellow = optimism and
- purple = spirituality
Make no mistake, colors do contain meanings. But attempts to create "cut and dried" colour codes greatly over-simplify the matter.
Within each color, there are many different shades and tones. Each unique shade communicates a different meaning.
Take a simple example: the color red. A bright shade of red which contains a lot of yellow reads very differently than a dark shade of red which contains a lot of brown. Each of these tones would express something different about your aura.
Your aura can contain any one of the million colour variations in the universe. So it is a mistake to squeeze aura colour meanings down into a "cut and dried" colour code. There are, however, some general themes available which can help guide the interpretation process.
Keep in mind though, aura colour meanings depend on the shades and also who the energy comes from.
Bottom line: different tones of the same colour communicate different meanings.
